This Compares Names — Not the Founder's Full Chart
Your Personal Numerology Report doesn't analyse business names — it goes deep on you, the founder: your Ruling Number, Destiny Number, Karmic Debts, Lo Shu Grid, Personal Year and more, all in one PDF.
Business name numerology applies the same letter-to-number system used throughout numerology to a company or brand name, reducing every letter to a single-digit Name Number believed to carry a distinct energy — separate from the founder's own numbers, and unaffected by anyone's date of birth.
To be upfront: this company name numerology calculator is a standalone free tool. Our Personal Numerology Report focuses entirely on the founder's own individual numbers — it doesn't currently include a business name analysis feature, so treat the two as separate exercises rather than one continuous report.
Named after the Greek mathematician, this Western system assigns each letter a value from 1-9 based on its position in the alphabet, cycling A=1 through I=9 and starting again at J. It's the more widely used system in modern Western numerology, including for brand names, and it's the version most people mean when they mention "numerology" without specifying which school they're following.
The older of the two systems, dating back to ancient Babylon, Chaldean numerology assigns letter values by sound rather than alphabet order. Some numerologists consider it especially relevant for business names, since a brand is often heard before it's read — spoken aloud in a pitch, a phone call or a radio ad long before a customer ever sees it written down.
Every letter of the full business name is converted to a number, summed, then reduced to a single digit.
Exactly as it would appear on registration, signage or branding.
Using either the Pythagorean or Chaldean letter-value system.
Add every value, then keep summing digits until one digit (1-9) remains.

Idealistic, wide-reaching energy — fits a business built around a mission bigger than profit alone.
Practical ways founders use numerology for business names without letting it override everything else that matters in a name.
Most founders already have a shortlist built from what the business does, who it serves, and what's actually available to register. Running each business name through this calculator afterward is usually more useful than starting from the numbers and working backward.
A registered legal entity name and a customer-facing brand name can produce different Name Numbers. If both are used publicly — on invoices versus on signage, say — it's worth checking each one separately rather than assuming they match.
Calculate every business name the same way — full legal form each time, or short form each time — so the comparison between names is actually fair rather than mixing methods partway through.
A Name Number you don't love isn't a reason to abandon a name that's otherwise available, memorable and true to the business. Most founders who use numerology for business names treat it as one more thing to weigh, not the final word.

Business name numerology applies the same digit-reduction methods used throughout numerology to a business or brand name, converting the letters into a single-digit Name Number believed to carry a particular energy relevant to how the business is perceived and how it grows.
Every letter in the full business name is converted to a number using either the Pythagorean or Chaldean letter-value system, the values are added together, and the total is reduced by repeatedly summing its digits until a single digit from 1-9 remains.
Numerologists differ on this. Some calculate from the full registered legal entity name, others from the customer-facing brand name actually used in marketing and signage. If you use both names publicly, it's worth calculating each separately.
Yes. Enter up to 3 business names and this calculator shows a Pythagorean comparison of all your names together, and a separate Chaldean comparison of all your names together, so you're always comparing name against name within one system at a time.
No. Like all numerology, this is a symbolic framework for reflection, not a scientifically validated predictor of business outcomes. Execution, market fit and timing matter far more than any single number.
No. This calculator shows each business name's own Name Number so you can compare names directly. Matching a business name's vibration against the founder's personal numbers is a separate, more involved analysis this free tool does not attempt.
Our Personal Numerology Report is a deep individual analysis built from one person's own name and date of birth — it does not currently include a dedicated business or brand name analysis feature.
